Money and trade in the Dreamscape
There have been several attempts to create a universal common currency, all of which have failed. The first issue being a lack of any central organisation to oversee and regulate the currency, and existing parties not wishing to cede that authority to other parties. The second being in creating a tamper proof denomination that isn’t easily forged or replicated. Whilst there has been some success in creating objects that are so complicated and intricate they cannot be reasonably duplicated, they are however far too resource intensive to be used as common currency.
Thus the Dreamscape operates on a Laissez-faire market economy. Trade is usually done in raw emotion, as it is the most universally generated and used resource. In this manner the market is mostly self regulating, though several people have tried to make monopolies they have been strongly, and occasionally violently, resisted.
All gangs will receive an income of Emotion based on their gang ratings at the start of each game.
